Harriet (the chef): "Following a well-established career in Medicine I decided to attend Culinary School and seek out my diploma in the Culinary Arts. After winning a gold medal for my French Pastries in the US regional competition, I went on to apprentice for 1 year with Hilton Hotel International in England. I returned to the United States but my heart and passion remained in Europe.
I had the dream to move to Paris and with my beautiful golden retriever, Sophie-Marie - who died in 2009 - we made the jump across the pond.
I had always hand-made Sophie her biscuits since she was allergic to corn and many of the commercially available products are full of sugar and chemicals. All the dogs in our neighborhood back in Seattle, Washington knew when it was time to stop by for treats that tasted good and were good for them.
I knew that the French love their animals and I wanted to share my passion for baking with a culture so attached to fine dining. So, with lots of encouragement from friends and family, the dream began and here in Paris, France on June 1st 2005, Mon Bon Chien became a reality."
Today her life is in Tel Aviv with NOLA. And humans love it too!

Chapeau Mesdames...
