The abyss of the one's Self...
You didn't get that? I don't always get him either at first. all i know is that he loves to play with words
,
Just read the 'about' section of Signor gi's website, you really start asking yourself :"who the fuck is this deeply inspired dude?".
I quote: "The artworks, particularly in the public sphere are meant, among other things to subvert the manifested utopian systems and offer a critical way of thinking in regard to these instant visual messages." Fuck me i'm already blown.... but he goes on...
"In this regard the works relate to the 'New objectivity' movement that blossomed in Weimar Germany and included artists such as Otto Dix and George Grosz that often emphasized the ugliness of their age using sarcasm and a satirical realism to pierce through what they experienced as wide spread cultural lies. Forming an alternate pictorial statement to the massive visual information helps even out the superimposed images and relate to the viewer in a more direct approach, bringing out commonly known truths that are usually kept hidden."
That is the answer to my question: why you do what you're doing?
Thanks man!
